Buckingham Smokehouse is a terrific place to go out with friends, a party, or a romantic supper for two because they serve traditional BBQ food in addition to newer, more modern dishes, hand-crafted cocktails, beers, and wines.
Buckingham Smokehouse was first founded in 1998 by Mark Brown’s father on the corner of Business Loop and Providence. The area was known as Columbia’s corner of death since no eatery had ever survived there for more than two years. Despite the odds, Buckingham lived for more than ten years. Mark Brown created a new store on Buttonwood Drive in 2006 and managed it by himself. The original store was in business until 2008.
