Batteries for solar panels are especially important in an off-grid treehouse because they store energy for use after sunset or when the generator is off. Even if the canopy makes solar difficult now, a properly sized battery bank can still reduce generator runtime and support future panels in a sunny clearing. I’d match the batteries to daily loads, inverter voltage, charger output, desired backup time, cable size, fusing, grounding, and the chemistry that fits the space and maintenance needs.
