I'm not allowed to create a poll for a weird reason, someone made a thread like this a while ago but the guy who made the thread deleted his account and deleted his posts. But anyways to the topic:

Does the fact that Ultralight (The HTML renderer used in LiquidBounce Nextgen) is proprietary/closed-source bother you? Reply to this thread if it does or not.

By the way, using a proprietary dependency in a FLOSS (Free/Libre and Open Source Software) isn't against GPL-v3, the copyleft license LiquidBounce uses.

@Aftery I made this thread because some other dude made a thread like this and he deleted it, that's why I made this thread.

LiquidBounce is open-source and will always be including the different additional tools we make, but this does not mean we have to make use of open-source libraries. We are using proprietary IDEs, propritary operating systems... and of course, we also make use of libraries which depend on proprietary code, but this does not mean it would affect LiquidBounce as open-source project.

Especially our HTML Render Engines are mostly proprietary:
              LiquidBounce uses Ultralight (partly open-source)
              LiquidLauncher uses Sciter

What are you thinking Minecraft is? Open-Source? Of course not.
