You need to open your build.gradle file in 1.8.9-Forge folder then replace all API-Java with TheAltening4j and API-Java-AuthLib with TheAlteningAuth4j. Now it should work.

@hktb changing com.github.TheAltening:API-Java:master-snapshot to com.github.TheAltening:API-Java:d0771f42d3 fixed it for me
