I am so mad that people think all hackers are bad. I was recently banned form a server, message: Hacked Client! What I want to know is how they new i had one because i never used it or talked about it but it just makes me mad.
Lets talk about hacks... I think people who "hack" just want more out of their game. Why do you think people mod minecraft? Isn't hacking the same as modding? The only difference is that they work in multiplayer. I don't use hacks to grief or do anything like that, i use nodus as a tool not a weapon. To be more precise, I use it as a building tool. I have been able to build things in a short amount of time that would otherwise take me hours to complete by hand. Why do you think people use World Edit? I prefer to think of hacks (mods) as tools that if used correctly, can benefit everyone. There will always be the people who will exploit those tools for their own personal gain but i believe that there are lots of people out there who feel the same as me. There will also be the stereotype that all hackers are bad but that is not true. I encourage people to use these amazing tools to help and do things they could never do before.I want people to reply to this thread and speak their minds about this topic. And if you do begin to hack, use the tools wisely and someday, we might find a server where there is no griefing, and there is a sign at spawn that reads: hacked clients are aloud.

@tenebrous I totally agree with you. In war, all methods are good. Personally, I use cheats to show the administration that they are wrong, and that anti-cheat still needs to be improved. Good example of dullness of admins - redesky server. They spent a lot of time and effort to remove cheaters - they made anti VPN, mandatory registration on the site, but forgot the main thing - anti-cheat, and all because they don't want to put money on the server.

@tenebrous moreover, players who want to play honestly can find a normal server with a normal anti-cheat and a normal administration

@tenebrous yes cheats are really important in multiplayer, bypasses can be used to improve anticheats in the future, and anarchy clients can be used to explore new type of pvp and to help people discover bugs and exploit so plugin dev can patch them
