How do i change my version?

Hi, how can i change my version to 1.8.9? I dont need to change it in multiplayer menu, i need to change my version in minecraft, 'cause i need to use 1.8.9 resourcepack. How do i change my ver in launcher? I have seen that somebody do it.

You cannot use resource packs from Minecraft 1.8.9. They are too old for Minecraft 1.21.11 to work and require converting. You can use the following website to do that: https://www.convertmcpack.net

but is it still possible to change my version of game? or os it only for servers

@sqwennyy Only for servers. Your game will always stay on 1.21.11 or newer.
