add lmstudio support to chatgame
-
You don't need anything new for this. AutoChatGame already works with any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, and LM Studio's local server is one.
- In LM Studio, load a model and start the local server. By default it runs on port 1234.
- In the AutoChatGame settings:
- BaseUrl:
http://localhost:1234/v1 - Model: the model identifier exactly as LM Studio shows it
- OpenAiKey: type anything, for example
lm-studio. The module turns itself off if this field is empty, and LM Studio doesn't check the key by default.
- BaseUrl:
- Set TriggerSentence to the line your server uses to start a chat game.
A small local model will answer slower and get more wrong than the big hosted ones, so give ReactionTime some room.
All the settings are explained here: https://liquidbounce.net/docs/modules/misc/autochatgame

ive tried everything including: LiquidBounce: 0.42.0
LM Studio: 0.4.24
Model: google/gemma-4-e4b
Base URL: http://localhost:1234/v1
API key: lm-studio
PowerShell POST to /v1/chat/completions succeeds and returns OK.
AutoChatGame is enabled, but triggering it produces no request in LM Studio's server logs.
TriggerSentence, BufferTime, Cooldown, and AnswerTemplate have been checked. i've tried to turn on and off the server auth, but it does not work. (LM studio server logs showed [ERROR] Unexpected endpoint or method. (GET /favicon.ico). Returning 200 anyway
[ERROR] Unexpected endpoint or method. (GET /google/gemma-4-e4b). Returning 200 anyway
[ERROR] Unexpected endpoint or method. (GET /v1/google/gemma-4-e4b). Returning 200 anyway) then it just stopped giving anything after all any idea on how to fix it? i've tried everything but it just doesn't output anything

Your LM Studio setup looks fine. Those
GET /favicon.icoandGET /v1/google/gemma-4-e4berrors come from opening the URLs in a browser. They're harmless and have nothing to do with the module. The important part is that no request reaches LM Studio at all. That means the module never decides a game has started, so the problem is the trigger, not the endpoint, key or model.
- Check the TriggerSentence against the exact chat line. It has to match the server's line exactly, colour-stripped. Leave out the prefix or any part that changes each round, and test with a short unique piece like
Unscrambleorfirst to type. - Check how the server formats the game message. If the chat-game line looks like normal player chat (a rank, name or
ยปin front of it), AutoChatGame treats it as a user message and ignores it. This is a known limitation, and no setting changes it right now. If that's what your server does, there's nothing more you can adjust on your side.

Please put a TriggerSentence back in. The module only starts a round when it sees that phrase in chat, so if the field is empty it never fires. That explains why nothing at all reaches LM Studio.
With a short trigger set, check two things:
- Does the module stay on? Enable it and look in chat for a warning. If AutoChatGame switches itself off again, it isn't reading your key or settings.
- Is there an error in the log? Let a chat game run on the server, then open
latest.logand search forAutoChatGame. If anything turns up, paste the log to https://paste.ccbluex.net and post the link here. Run.debugwith the module on and post that paste link too, so someone can see your actual settings.
If the log shows nothing and the module stays on, the earlier explanation is the likely cause. Your server's chat-game lines probably look like normal player chat, so the module ignores them. You can't change that from your side.
